Hi everyone, I need some help ! Advice !
Ok I currently run dual empi solex carbs, which use too much fuel for my liking, so I want to fit a 34 pict3 single carb and put twin port manifolds back on engine, however, the dizzy I have does not have vacume attachment on side of it !!! As I have a Petronius electronic ignition setup.

Can I fit the single carb and just connect, elec choke and fuel shut off, then just blank off the vacume side of things ,...
I'm a bit confused , help please !!!!

Yes you can. There's two vac ports to blank off, one larger one that faces you as you look at the engine and one on the left side on the same side as the fuel cut solenoid. However, I wouldn't advise you actually do this. Whilst it will work, the 34pict3 is a lean carb and was designed to be used with vac advance. You will almost certainly end up with a flat spot at the bottom end of the rev range if you do this, leading to disappointment when you want to accelerate.

Get a vacuum advance distributor while you're at it. The 009 is a rather crude and inflexible component, unsuited to varying loads and engine speeds of a road vehicle. Sure, it work, but svda is the right tool for the job in my opinion.
