Fitting a Empi gear stick

Just bought a bit of bling for my bus ,off ebay without instructions ,when fitting the new stick (its the one with the trigger collar for reverse) do i still need the diamond shaped guide plate ? cheers as always

The empi shifter should come with two spacers, if i remember right the thinner one is for a split and the thicker for a bay.

It is a bit hit and miss fitting it and getting all your gears in the right place though, bolt it up and if you cant get 3rd or 4th then move it over a little then tighten it back up, you will get there.

I was lucky and got it fitted in the right place straight away

That's missing the spacer...if you get a kind bay owner to measure theirs you should be able to get one bent in 2-3mm steel (mines on a split so can't tell you how high sorry)
