Does anyone know the differences between the RM212A and the RM212F.I want to fit a fridge in my bus but cant afford the newer ones and have found a site that sells the older styles. Are they worth using (£100+)inc p+p or should I try and get some more cash together and get a new one.
Thanks.
P.S.
Fredster if you read this then please check your PM's

what are you going to use your fridge for? long weekends? a month of touring? constantly cooling warm beers? keeping bacon/butter cold? will you be using hook-ups at sites?

it would be hard to recommend any fridge without knowing these.

the RM123 doesnt need big vents cutting into the side of your van most (but not all ) do
phone electrolux(dometic) they will tell you
personally i use the free standing chest type 3way about £100 new and fits a lot more beer

Hi all. They are on a caravan breaker site.
Will be using to keep fresh food cool for a week at a time and also on the days out.
Thought about the chest type but its just a problem storing it somewhere in the bus when you have all your camping gear and two 6 year olds.

if these are a three way type fridge they will drain your the battery very quickly, they are best run on either 240V or on gas. if you intend to run on 12V for any longer than 12hrs you are better going for a marine type fridge, from my experiences anyway

Would this mean a leisure battery also ?

What would i be looking for in reference to the "marine type fridge" please ?

Many thanks

yes it will take a leisure down, they are only designed to run on 12v when your driving really, gas & 240v when standing.
I installed a "engle" marine fridge as we are lhd so no where to vent a gas type fridge, it fitted straight into the cool box space.
