fuel filter

Hey I just installed the biofuel line and fresh filter on the fuel tank and realized there are two metal clips to hold the fuel line off the gearbox so I took the fuel filter off the line again (as I thought it easier than pulling it off the new super flared tank outlet pipe) to push a piece of garden hose over the fuel line to protect it from the clips. I thought it was difficult to push the fuel line onto the filter, well it was even more difficult pulling it off.

This is the result of brand new unused filter vs unused fuel line...



Don't think I've ever used such a flimsy one before.

Definitely trying to fit a stop cock on the line now or fuel everywhere when time comes to change... :?
Yes can pinch hose with sockets and vice.

I use a small pair of mole grips to clamp off the live end of the pipe first

this happened to me. took me a while to work out why it kept cutting out!!!

It's always worth buying the best quality IMO though in fairness those inline filters are a throw away item meant to be a once only fitting.
