fuel shut off valve wiring

hi - what's the best way to wire in a fuel shut off valve - through the 15 terminal at the coil? so that when ignition switch is on the fuel valve opens and v.v. - does this mean routing the feed wire to the coil through the fuel shut off valve so they are in series?

the cut off valve has an earth terminal - do I need to ground the valve?

No, don't go through the feed wire. Run that direct to the coil, then run another from the coil first to the fuel cut off valve, then round and on to the choke.

There's no need to earth the cut off valve.
