We have a fuel smell inside the van at the back when we open the back westy cupboard. Looking through the maintenance manual, the fuel vent system runs up the back of the air intake so I am assuming what we can smell is the fuel off the vent system? Anyone else have this?

will get in before Graham!!! check fuel cap seal cos if it aint tight you will get smell.

Just checked it and although it is tight, there is no rubber seal. It is the original one so maybe that is right?

Many thanks

I spent hours checking all my pipework and vents 1 weekend but it didn't cure it.
A £15 fuel cap and 2 seconds of my time cured it.
My advice would always be change the cap 1st......
It's cheap & easy to do...

out of interest - wheres the best place to get a locking fuel cap????

I wish I knew the best place to get a locking cap but I ended up with non looking..........
It's worth the risk of loosing fuel to keep smell free..

if its not the cap then it maybe this little bugger.
