A stock VW gear change is pretty vague tbh, I upgraded to an Empi shifter within a month which made it lovely to drive about town. Ran that for 4 years, got a CSP about a month ago and that is in league of it's own!

No matter how bad a bus is, it's alot better than going through central London in a Volvo FH12 with a 12 speed spiltter box :-@
 i bet its not as much fun as an e,r,f 320 cummins and an eaton twin splitter... they just dont build em like that anymore......thank,,f@$£k

I've heard the older blokes talk of a twin splitter, I'm only 22 so it's abit before my time

 i think im older than i think i am.. :incognito: .. ...take the f12 box throw it in a jug full of oil and shove a vw camper gear stick in it then find the biggest hill you can and let the games begin....

Found the elusive second gear a couple of times yesterday. I can't begin to explain how chuffed I was. Went out - briefly- in a "normal" car today and crunched every gear possible.

I found I had trapped some of the cabin insulation under my shift when bolting it down to the floor. Was all chuft that it was fixed but actually ....NO.

I see someone saying to try moving it to the left I think thats my next thing to try tonight, loosen the bolts and move the whole shifter around.
