Ive got an oil leak coming out if the big shaft where the clutch fits

last time I had the engine out I replaced the seal. There seems to be a bit of play in the shaft.
is a big job to get to it from the inside or is there another way of doing it.

theres allways some play cos of the way the bearings and shaft is made .remember the front of the shaft is suported by the pilot bearing in flywheel so it wont move when assembled.
