In the quest for getting a sensible amount of light from my healamps, I am sure I read somewhere that with halogen bulbs fitted you could remove the shield from inside the headlamp reflector. (1970 3 screw ) .Any one know if this is the case?

if the bulb tip is dip coated as most are yes, i run H4 halogens with no issues, i even run 6V H4s in in my 66 deluxe, makes a hell of a difference

is that a straight over swap or do you have to take the centre out of the lamp

just got hid conversion kit for my 89 passat,h4 conversion,let you know if any good 8) so bright you need shades?
