Hi all-- been laid up since last night with a seriously painful trapped nerve in my back , Drs been , medicines here , puters here and tv , Lou's been an angel - anyhow ---
My bro came to visit and during the chat he declared his interest in getting another dub .
His last van was a panel watercooled t25 which he loved , he now likes the look and scene that surrounds bays and has about 5 grand give or take and states he would like a early/late t2 tintop.
The thing is a early for that money is gonna likely need work , a late may be less likely to need as much resto but a getting a t25 in good nick for that money is definitely a possibility ,
He won't buy until the spring has he has no garage -so i told him i would put it up here for debate --
--- what are your thoughts , tips etc ????

Early sunroof deluxe for around 6k?? His money would be safe as houses if it's described right.

Nice choice - describing right seems to be something people have difficulty with.

I've owned 1x t25 panel van -3x latebay uk -1x usa westy - and now a 69 uk earlybay -they have all cost about the same to run and maintain .theres bits on a t25 that are just as expensive to repair as a t2. if the right splitty came along- for me it would be a very hard choice over my early bay . I'm not slating them so don't be offended ,but the t25 can be a bit like marmite, and when i had mine i was constantly pining for a t2 . so my advice for what its worth is get an early bay ,the best you can afford and find, and if it needs a bit of tlc ,no worries just do it up the same way you would eat an elephant.....a bit at a time
