You see it now and then where earlybay owners need a new front and as you can only buy the later type off the shelf thats how they leave it :(

Shame really cos all the bits are available to do the job properly.
There was a lovely lowered early tintop for sale near Tescos in Bury a few weeks ago, sitting on a nice set of wheels, spoilt only by a late front :mad0025:

Yes it's a bit of faffing about, but it's not that hard to blank off the higher ones is it really. Imho it spoils the look of an early to have the wrong front on.

id say the more complex job is getting rid of the buldge but even thats not a massive job

Have to say that I'm not convinced it will be rust free at that price, theres something odd about the way the bottom of the front doors look and the front clip on the passenger side.

Perhaps its me but buses that have had a 'recent' respray make me very nervous especially on a 38 year old UK RHD bus. I'd much rather see the bus in an original state. i

Saying that though if it is genuinely a rust free bus its a steel at that price :?:

Its close to me but i have my worries, asked him about the heating and his reply was never tried the heating so dont know ???

Wibbler as for that bay by tesco`s its still there behind the bed shop and he`s asking £7000 imho my orange bay which just sld for £5700 pissed all over it but i guess thats why its still sitting there :p

Have my eyes on a late bay yeah i know shhhhh, through Adam at theoldvolkshome on ebay just wish people woudnt bid on a no reserve item till last min,but you have to love ebay, all the bids i had for my bay on there recently came from people with excactly the same ammount of letters in there name ?? and none of those so called offers asked any questions or came to see the van i smelt a fishy but was fun refusing the offers all the time.

Bet some of those bids were real piss takes

Thing is you gotta see ebay to the end, I bid 4.5k for my van thinking It would go for more and won it  never saw it, spoke to the seller or even noticed it had no MOT
Payed cash and drove it home from Stafford with burnt out points at 40 mph ( is there a smiley for mug)

Seller couldnt believe his luck though as it turned out I had bought a pretty rare van and it passed the mot needing only the earth sorting on one indicator.
