Nice wipers. Pretty sweet conversion thought. For me, more moving part and rubber bits are a no no.

The factory-fitted window wiper & washer facilities on many vehicles, including the 1968~79 VW Type 2, has been wholly inadequate, so I sought to rectify this as best I could for both my vehicles, of which the other is a 1974 Triumph Toledo 1300 "HL Special".

Agreed. Since making mine electric with a little pump and micro switch, washing the windows is a joy rather than guesswork.
