I have not seen another RHD sunroof bus on my travels yet. Is there a register or any way of finding out?
I want to put a value on my Bus and looking at the price of them lately I would like to say it's worth around 25K.
If some reason it did get stolen I cant say I could ever replace it cause there arnt any others out there to compare it to or buy to replace.Anybody got any ideas?

I know of another. Been laid up for years :( :( :( still trying to get my hands on it

Why do you need a value on it? Is it for insurance or because you want to sell it?

If it's for insurance, calculate what it owes you and add 20% for sentimental value.

If it's for selling, then calculate what it owes you and subtract 20%. Funny but true.

I'd say 25K is a little optermistic for any bay window bus. Sorry.

Don't think your formula for values would work not a bad as a idea but not realistic. The market and the item dictates the overall value.I was looking at insurance and as my van as far as I can see it would be extremely hard to replace with another. so that must make it worth more than?

i know of 4 other rhd sunroof vans. though one of them is a late bay. i do think they're pretty uncommon but not as rare as you seem to think. i also think 25k is unrealistic as a price for your bus even for insurance purposes. for that sort of worth your van would have to be a rhd sunroof model and in almost concourse museum condition! (what i mean is that i think you'd have a pretty hard time convincing them on that sort of payout if the worst was to happen.)

I agree with you, market dictates the price. All I was trying to say was if you need to value it for insurance, inflate the price a little and if you need to sell it, expect to lose some money.

Looking at what people are asking on ebay and vwkampers are asking 30k for lhd westy with new not original interior.I don't think im to far off with a insurance values of 25k. I suppose its up to the insurance companies to agree the value.my mates got 28k agreed value on his late bay.yes my is rhd bus.

Are we talking about an 'Agreed Value' here or just a valuation as they are 2 different things, the insurance value is not what they would pay you, its a market value price. An Agreed Value is what the insurer will pay you in the event of a loss.

Personally I think your value is high, you are basing it against what people are advertising fully restored buses for which costs a lot of money to do by a professional restorer and there no guarantee thats what they actually get for them.

Market prices have dropped significantly recently with top quality buses selling for £15K or less, have a quick look in the for sale section on here and you will see some really nice buses for less than £15K. Yes I know its RHD and a sunroof but my own bus (LHD & sunroof) has an agreed value of £14K, dont think theres a £10K premium for RHD.
