Thumbing my way back
Who is everyone insured with.

Me i'm currently with Adrian Flux but my quote has gone up to around £300 so i'm going to shop around.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

We wnt via VolksWorld and it was cheap - a word of warning though, we renewed the following year and they charged us a commission, even though they hadn't done anything for a year!

Use the net to get the cheapest quote and then go to that firm direct! My bus isn't going anywhere fast but it's still insured as the policy allows me to drive other vehicles (3rd party) and it's covered against fire and theft (it would be a pretty canny thief that managed to extract it from my garage at the moment!).

Also, be realistic about the mileage your bus does annually - the less you do, the cheaper it gets!

;)

Footman James, only costs me £200 for london and the van is parked on the road. Been really good when i have had claims as well :D

footman james - £280 includes fully comp on the bus and the ghia

Sure term fully comp, bus on drive and breakdown/recovery included 4000mile policy £138-00. Recovery was with Red star and was excellent when i got stranded half way up a welsh mountain last year, a real lifesaver.

HCI (JustKampers) - thinks it was £170 fully comp with roadside assist - max of 5000 miles - best quote I got last year after ringing round :D

Adrian Flux as well matey, £235 for me and Beck's. Unlimited mileage, european breakdown cover and green card.

Not too bad, be will still look around come renewal time :D

£108.15  How old are you - 75 plus - that sounds very cheap. Thinks
I will have to give them a try

Not quite i am 36.

Just wonder how much my renew will cost my in Aug.

Adrian Flux - £150 full comp with the other half on there too. Will be looking elsewhere if that happens to me

Good on ya rustyd

Some bargains out there, but do they produce the goods if you are involved (heaven forbid  )
in an accident :?:

Im with RH specialists, £130 fully comp with agreed value, and UK/European Breakdown cover.

Footman James :D

I pay under £400 a year for my beetle, which is lowered, has stripes etc ;)

Not bad for an 18 year old, all my friends are paying £1k plus on their lower value novas, saxos, micras etc..

They insured my dad on my beetle for £96 fully comp, including breakdown cover etc.

I havn't needed to claim, but the breakdown cover is pretty good. Only used it once, but they came in just over an hour. However, in that hour I fixed the problem  8)

I will be renewing with them all being well, and insuring my van with them too.

The previous owner recomended them to me, he had used them for a while. Paid out on a claim for him no problems.

But then he recomended his van to me, bits have been fallllling of ever since.

Flux sux  Phoned them re quote for the Panel van said they wouldn`t as someone like me ( a carpet fitter ) might use it for work . Eventually he said he had a figure for me , but told him Footman James had quoted £110 with unlimited mileage 8) and he said " Oh , REALLY ? I couldn`t possibly compete with that  " But i`m guessing the FJ quote is pretty good .

Thats a good price Grazy, i pay just under that but i have to be a good boy & promise not to commute to work in it.
