Having finally got my 71 bus back on the road, I'm looking to get a unit for the interior...
I want to retain the full width RnR bed, and it'd be good if the unit was removable so could use it inside and outside the van or at least along the window side and/or backing on to the front seats.
Anyone got any recommendations of where to go, who to speak to, websites to check out?

I'm not after anything fancy, just a lift up counter top so can use a campingaz 2 burner stove/grill (the lid of unit to act as a 'splash back') and a couple of cupboards underneath.

Appreciate any suggestions or comments.

I'm in the process of building one like this - I'll post up some pics later if it's of interest. Basically, it's a unit which has been designed around a particular brand of gas cooker, and will have a fold down top to hide it away when not in use. Below it is two cupboards - one for the gas bottle, and one which has 3 shelves for other crap. Total cost so far is a sheet of plywood at £25, and then some screws, PVA glue, and whatever we choose to paint / wrap it in.

Also, if it's of use, I've potentially got an unused Campingaz stove that was originally bought for this 'project' up for grabs. We bought it a while back, and it has only been unboxed to measure it so still have receipt. Changed our minds recently on the cooker we wanted so have bought another now. PM if interested.

Thanks Moseley, would be interested to see your finished unit.
I also have a stove already, but thanks for the heads up.

In terms of buying ready made units, who would people suggest worth trying/looking at..??

Hey Headzup, made this one out of a scrap sideboard I had and didn't have the heart to throw it away so stripped it down and put it away until I needed some timber
So it only cost me a small sheet of plywood and some rubber off ebay for the sink top. Got the sink for free a year earlier and put that away too..........I think you can see a pattern here......Le salvager
The sink is under the hinged rubber top still need to plumb that in.
