I don't like stupidly narrow bays either, although split buses and bugs look great tucked IMHO. Maybe it's something todo with the shape of the front arches. I already have the rims, so I will have to do some measuring...

Oh i forgot to mention the split setup is 33mm narrower each side than the bay drum to drum for a start so take that into consideration too... you'll probably find a 2" narrowed is perfect. what offset are the wheels, around +12?
 
Not sure on the wheel offset, but I had already worked out that a split beam narrowed 2 inches with link pin drop spindles would be around 5" narrowed on a bay. I think this will be enough. I am thinking of fitting CSP discs at some point in the near future though, so didn't want to add too much to the track.

They are JGE Torkers Mike First bay to have em on I believe :twisted:
