Hi there
I have a '71 rhd Westy which was imported from South Africa about six years ago and sympathetically restored. I am just wondering if it is a standard setup to have three swivelling quarter lights ( 2 up front and one by the back seat on solid side at leading end of the rear side window). I can't seem to find much info relating to this but it would be interesting even to know if anyone else has this setup. I must say, I love them as I think it adds to the cool factor and I think it makes it somewhat limoesque (is that even a word?) having the one at the back. Any info would be great. Many thanks

Hi,
3 is correct I believe, mine is the same, only one without is behind the sliding door (would assume so it doesn't get whacked by the sliding door). Replacing the seals are a right pain if you need to do them :)

Cheers Marshy. Darn it. I thought I had something unusual. Never mind. Interesting though and I see what you mean about those seals. Thanks again

I think all Wedtys after 70 got the rear quarter light :)

I've got a 1970 SA westy, mine also had the third quarter light, I changed it for a solid piece of glass as I didn't trust the rubber seals, plus if it leaked it'd be too late before you knew about it!

Congrats on owning a SA bus though, we're rare beasts!!
