Looks nice but not sure if it all adds up , dont know why just somethin seems odd maybe the colour is throwing me off

Check it oooot !! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-CAMPER-VAN-BAY-WINDOW-BUS-VERY-RARE-1967-T2a_W0QQitemZ190363021147QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Campers_Caravans_Motorhomes?hash=item2c52852f5b#ht_768wt_1167" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And it has the M code option of a VDO tachograph with the looks of things, wonder why that is fitted? Taxi? Reg plate is from Romania. Interesting?
Why you say 71? Looks like it's still on wide 5's, awkward to tell as they are painted silver........
Microbus - but not got the air vents that are on the front? And the vent bits on the doors for rear passengers?

Cheers!

Alistair

I've asked if its possible to go and see it as its local, its not a 71 as it does look like its on wide 5's and the rear arches are pre August 1970, if I do go I'll update you as it does look like a good bus.

I would suggest the tacho is because its been used as a minibus.

Will be interesting to see if it stacks up though and is as clean as it looks!!

I said I thought it was a '71 because in the first photo I thought the rear arches looked flared. Wasn't looking at the wheels.
I'll plump for it being a '70 model Kombi then. :D

Doug

Well I'm hopefully going to see it tomorrow (its about 10 minutes away from my unit) so I'll let you know what year it is, that is as long as its got its m code plate/chassis number still in tact

OK, went to see this at lunchtime and it doesn't stack up, bus is a 68 model year but the chassis number (early and likely to be built in 67) doesn't match the paperwork so not a good start, no M code plate either.

If people genuinely want photos and are planning on bidding on this then let me know and I'll give you the full story and photos, highlights are:

- Non standard jacking points and outriggers fitted
- Needs front valance inside & out at bottom
- doglegs have filler in then
- inner sill sections not visible in front wheelarch (c shape box)
- outer sills bolted on
- Wiring a complete mess and runs inside the bus

and a lot more,

It had that 'hotch-potch' aura about it didn't it, i.e from the photos it looked to be a Kombi with Microbus seats in the rear and later dash (or at least dash top) etc.
Not genuinely interested, just curious. :D

Don't work anymore!Has anyone saved picture?

Yep, link still works and I have some other photos that I took when I went to see it.

Personally I wouldn't touch it, it certainly not rust free and needs a lot of work and I hate to think what the fresh paint is hiding, plus see my comments above above chassis numbers etc,

ebay works of course :D ,but i wanna see some pics with that bus "This listing () has been removed, or this item is not available."
if you can open that link, please give me item #
thx.

thank you,it's work now.i just wanted to see which bus is,because is coming from my country.
