Ive recently had my Westy converted,and Im pleased to say that Im getting {working on petrol prices] 37 MPG and this is with 2 weeks of short journeys back and forth to work and a few longer runs .
There isnt any difference in performance, in fact the engine seems to run smoother.

Not bad really considering the rising fuel costs :evil:
My only problem is i dont have a spare grand and i dont think theres many places buy me that have the facilities to fill up the gas :x

Yeh I know its a lot of cash but I had a grand left over from selling my Split and buying the Bay.I thought that the money was better spent this way than buy bling wheels and lowering etc , all those things are great but there no good if you cant afford to use your van as you want and it is my daily driver.

I think the Shifnal services do LPG, but it would take about 8,000 miles at current prices and assuming 20mpg to re-coup the cost.

I live in Telford and drive to Wolves everyday so 8000 miles is nothing, also drive past the shifnal services (J4 M54?) to get on the motorway, if i decide to sell my current daily and use the van i might consider this option
