Here's a part extract from the loom fitting instructions we supply to customers: -
Installation When removing the old loom, pull through a length of sturdy cord or string in order to reverse pull the new loom through the bulkheads and channels. If the old loom has already been removed, then an ‘electrician’s tape’ may be required to help find the route.
Main Section The main section of the new loom must installed from the front to the back, starting at the dash clocks, work a section at a time, rather than the whole van length. Generously use masking tape to tightly bundle cable ends and terminals together, so that they cannot catch and jam while pulling through. Secure the pull cord to the starter motor M8 ring terminal, then wrap it three or four times around the bundle going towards the rear light cables, and secure in a similar manner with masking tape. It is important not to attach the pull string to a single or even several rear light cable ends.
Baby powder or a silicon lubricant normally used in the plumbing trade for plastic pipefitting, should be used as a lubricant through the box sections and bulkheads. We advise using two persons, one to pull and the other to feed the cable into the cavities. Pull gently but firmly without tugging, and remove the masking tape fairly promptly.
