I trial fitted one of these wheels to the new rear drum last night and realised there's not enough thread exposed through the wheel to get a nut on properly. Once done up, the thread only goes half way through the nut.

Is this a common issue? Looks like MWS do longer studs, so there is a solution. Just seemed to be something else for me to add to my 'to do' list.

I get about 5.5 turns but the nut is around 1/2 way down the thread. MWS say around 7 turns, so it's not far off but just seems inadequate when you see the nut only half on.

The replacement studs are 67mm long though compared to 35mm on the originals. 67mm would be too long and they'd be sticking out the ends. Looks like I'll stick with the originals and see how things go...

If you are talking nuts rather than bolts you must have crossover 112PCD? Are you using the original nuts where you can see the threads or capped after market nuts so you cant see the threads? Might be best to post a picture. However what I would say is if you cant get a full nuts worth of thread and at least 2 thread sticking out of what would be a normal nut I would not be using the wheels until you resolve the thread issue.

Buy the long studs and cut them down to the length you need
