Well, got the bus transferred into my name and registered so it's all legal.

I had to drive it to DMV to have it verified and so it was the first time I drove it on the road.

I was happy to find out that the transmission shifted clean in all gears and doesn't pop out
Not sure what this knob does under driver seat?

Any help for a newbie?

Looks like the bus will make Bug O Rama

it operates the vent under the walkthrough to the rear cargo/passenger area...

is the headlight switch turned right down? dash illumination brightness control....

Heater knob, thanks.

Dont have a manual yet so some stuff is a mystery but fun learning.

Yea power at switch but it goes away before gauges? Fuses good, and bulbs good.

I will chases it still,

Thanks guys

Got my real Fuchs today 15x6 off a 1970 Porsche.Just polished and painted

So looking forward to getting them on and the thing finally lowered

Got a roof rack too!!

Thanks Dexter

Yea it is pretty straight and no rust so easy to redo.

Can't wait to get the Porsche brakes on so I can throw on my Fuchs!!

Looking forward to them

Here is a photo of our first trip in the bus tot eh May Bug O Rama in Sacramento.
Bus is still rough and has bugs but we had a blast!!

Wow they look ace, bet you can't wait to get them on

I am dying to get them on!

Like a kid before Christmas!!!

Got to narrow the from beam first and add the 944 Porsche brakes. Not a overnight upgrade unfortunately

But got the extra front beam so I can get it narrowed and rebuilt for a future swap

gotta get a correct rear seat. The one I bought ended up to work but isn't right so need to find the right one

And other little fixes like dash lights coming up

Yea the sun is shining your right, but instead of rain sometimes we have to deal with the heat which gets up to 110 or higher and thats no fun!!

Loving the Fuch and the Gene Berg shifter. I'd love one but they're hard to find over here
Sweet ride.

Anyone have ideas how to fix my front emblem?

The holes have been ripped out as you can see. Yes I understand that I can weld them up

Ideas or experience on dealing with this will be appreciated, Thanks

Brian

Been awhile since I updated the thread.

I am still working on the bay but slowed down waiting on time and money around the holidays.

Got new speakers front and rear with a bass box for it.

Got a line on the 944 brakes which would be great to getting closer to getting my Fuchs actually on the bus instead of the garage floor!

Looking for stickers to put on the windows to personalize it and make it mine!

More to come soon!
