George, hope your mum & dad didn't think I was chasing them off today, but as usual everything happens at once!!,
I was painting a bay door, sorting my new mixing room & doing an estimate on a Stag, when they turned up :?

Right, am plodding on not quite at Tudor Rose speed but, tortoise n the hare, an all that :rolf:

First off I fixed the oil leak by fitting the rocker cover correctly this time :roll:
Unfortunately I left 2 brand new clips on the engine I gave to Richie when I got this one & I now reckon I need 2 new ones for this engine :roll: :roll:

Also I was advised that the manifold gaskets I had on were no good, so a very kind fella off of the late bay sent me some other ones in the post free of charge!!
Nice mind!!
So i fitted them.

BUT 2 of the studs at the back came out with the nuts :x
So I fitted 2 bolts instead.

So I decided to see if these made a difference.

BUT :roll: when I tried to start the bus it just started spewing petrol everywhere again like it did before :x :x :x
Darren seems to think the float is sticking :x :x

Carb is off for Daz to clean again tomorrow !!!.,!!

More tomorrow ???

Well seeing as my latest deadline is looming!!!!
I decided to play the wag n gan drinkin n dancin dressed as a cowboy arty0023: arty0003: arty0041: arty0048: arty0049: all weekend!!!!

Which was nice.

But I've worked back a bit tonight to make up for it!

The main things I'm waiting on are the wiring, Darren's job, as wiring is basically voo doo black magic ****, that isn't made of nuts n bolts therefore is not real!!
So that's up to him, also the acc pedal needs welding back together, again Darren's job as he stole my welder!!!

We've started with the acc pedal.

More to follow as I think I'm getting a custom Parker part made up!?!?,! :|

While he was making that, I changed the engine support bar bolts & tried to line the rear bumper up a bit better as it's never sat straight on the sides since the towbar went on.

Also as I mentioned, with time being of the essence & every second counting,



I moved the table about a bit!!! :rolf:

Back on important stuff again themerra like seeing if it actually drives etc etc.

The table lives over there by the door now full time, I've not left a bracket where it used to be, because with me still having the foam bits round the top of the bulkhead the whole big unit thing sits a bit too far back. So when I pull the bed out, if the table leg is left in place it jams up against the unit!!!

Plus I think it takes up too much space over there :lol:

Well afternoon !!
Keeping publican's hours today like :rolf:

Dash top, windscreen & wipers fitted!!

New steering wheel & carpets.

Also big thanks to Alex @ VWH the new auto fire extinguisher!!

Rear suspension to fettle, bit of a running / tick over thing to sort too & last few bits of wiring courtesy of vw workshop!!
Then, just waiting for DVLA :roll:
