Most of the time carbs just have the wrong sized jets in em
Some of the after mkt carbs have poor casting and never run quite right.
It's all easy enough to do yourself.
If the right carb has the right jets you can set up the idle and mixture at home and it should run fine. A specialist rolling road will get the best out of it but shouldn't be necessary :D
Go for it - you just need to find the right carb for your engine

1600 single port - 30PICT/3
1600 dual port - 34PICT/3

Might be worth checking the jet sizes on what you've got?

Hey, thanks for that dude. :D

Hope to get the other two channels working on the Alpine amp with these splitters!

This weekend hoping to make a start on my car port & Gates..
Pissed off with not being able to work on the Van when I get back from the grid... and being constantly harassed when I do!
But its a great place to keep in the winter months so Im forever grateful to my in laws.... :D

Shame on my gates not being suitable :? What's the plan are you keeping the the single gate and having the big gate being hinged off a post next to the single gate? :)

Hard to explain, I'll draw a pic as its easier. It will be at an angle with one gate off one BIG post. Need some smassive hinges me thinks! Thought about an RSJ but a mate can get hold of a big post or two so will see. But it needs to happen soon as I need it on my own drive before I

I wouldn't go rsj Paul, 6"x6" box section would be plenty strong enough for a single swing gate for that size the important bit is to make sure you get it in the floor deep enough at least 3 ft with plenty on concrete, I've seen plenty put massive posts up but only put them in shallow and that's where it lets them down, when they start leaning over

Hi!

Van looking great!

As for the carb, i was running one of these, though forget if mine was the Brosal one, mexican anyway, ran ok on my bus, though a dirty fuel filter caused havoc and cutting out when it let dirt into it, maybe it's that? Oh, your braided fuel pipe, how old is it? :msn4: You cant see any cracks with braided pipe....

I got mine from ebay type SAE R something, 6, 9 or 10 cant remember fuel injection pipe, and proper fuel clips, not jubilee

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=sae+fuel+hose&rt=nc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think i did a google search for the fuel types and worked out a better spec than the usual suppliers and went from there......

Cheers,

Alistair

Hi Alistair,
