Got a few bits done, rear panel and bumper painted and fitted,

Rear handbrake caliper bracket's made and mounted,

Dash redone again,

Also received my new one off drive shafts,

Had to get these made as bus ones were to short, 944 ones were to long so got these made by GB engineering,
all so i could use my 9x18's could now get a 10" wide wheel under if i wanted or could afford it

Got the bus back on the ground and wasn't happy with the stance.

It sat 10mm higher at the front end before being loaded up with camping stuff so wound up the pre load on the rear coil overs (didn't help) :|
Fitted heavier rated springs still didnt help :x
So today i ripped out all the rear suspension and modded it then repainted, also repaired a dent i'd put in.

So hopefully with the 50mm block i've put in it should make the back sit up higher

Not much to show lately apart from new ride hight and brakes painted and refitted,

Also bought a line lock kit and fitted that,

Trying to do stuff that doesn't cost much at mo,still waiting for loom adapter to come,
and saving pennies for the gearbox rebuild :|

Hi mate,

I've been been following this for a while & I'm interested to see what you are planning to do with the cooling system now that you've got the Scooby engine in there, there seems to be alot of buses with water cooled motors about but none of them seem that happy with the cooling they are getting so I'm keen to see how you plan to avoid this.

Gonna put a large custom rad under the floor ducted from the front with 2 big high output kenlowe fans blowing the ducted air out through the rads.

That looks like it should do the job, I can't wait to see it finished

This is where the rad will live, ducted from the front and when i've made the belly plate it will seal the rad in so any air will be forced through the rad.

I can see how the cooling is going to work whilst on the move with the air being ducted in but what about whilst stood in traffic? is the water pump going to be up to the job or do you plan on fitting an additional electric water pump to make sure you ensure continuous movement?
Something I've just thought about, your water lines.... it looks as though you are using aluminium instead of the usual copper, have you thought about welding cooling fins along the length of them.

How does the air get into the rad on any watercooled motor when its stood in trafic?....The fans draw it in!
In the case of my bus one of those Kenlowe H/O fans would double the air movement on the standard car so both of them should have no problem drawing enough air into the ducting.
They put out 1350 C.F.M each
