Graham - I'm definitely up for damper package 2, doubly so on the strength of Adam's testimony. Happy to put down a deposit if needed.

Are you any nearer being able to offer these for sale?

OK so lets answer a few questions:

DAMPER PACKAGE 1: is a set of alloy collars that allow you to fit 'shorter' motorsport springs to your existing bugpack dampers but lower the ride height and improve the spring rate (stock ones are a bit too soft)
Kit consists of 4 machined adapters (2 for each damper) and 2 x competition coil springs) These have been extensively tested on Monty and worked really well with a good ride and no bottoming out. Kit price of £140.00. These are in Stock

DAMPER PACKAGE 2 This is currently what Adam is borrowing and has had good results with, these are brand new fully ride height adjustable gas dampers with adjustable damping on them as well so you can fine tune your ride. In order to place an order for these I need a minimum of 5 interested parties, these are working out at £245 a pair.

Pictures of them fitted to Monty and as a pair

Beetle Gearbox Kit Waiting for the first one to arrive so I can trial fit it into my new bus, will then take pictures and start taking orders, hope to be able to do this in the next week or so, sorry this has taken far longer than I expected.

Hope that helps?

 Hi Graham,, this should toughen up my front end a bit. I`d like a pair of those nice looking gas shocks. As soon as you need some money, just let me know. I can pay pal or cash at Oktoberfest or Berkely on the 18th ? Looks like it`s just what the doctor ordered.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,, Many thanks

Hi Graham, as you know ive spoken to you about the whole drop spindle thing.

On damper package 2 are we getting the coil springs as well or will these have to be purchased seperately. Sorry if its a daft question but they are mentioned in package 1 but not in package 2 so just wanted to confirm. If its a no, what kind of prices are we looking at for springs (i understand different folks may want different rates depending on how loaded their bus is)

cheers

Package 2 is a complete assembley including the coil spring, rates can be altered if required.

Could you confirm that 'Package 2' does NOT increase ride height initially?

I have a set of TPH coil-overs now that I cannot get on my bus without them raising the ride hight by 1/2", even at their lowest setting. :?

Hi Cunning

I can confirm that it does not increase the ride height, that was initially the idea behind this but whilst doing it it was worth looking at the damping etc as well.

Cheers Graham.

I think I will take a set of these, but not at the moment as I am diverting funds in another direction at the moment. :?

Good to know you have found a suitable solution

Any news on the gearbox kit Graham?

I've now got the test unit back and will post pictures once I've fitted it to the box to check its all OK

Interested in the seatbelt stalk. Looked on your website. Couldn't see any details...

If you read earlier in the topic the seat belts things are a no go as it would cost to much to get them all tested here you go

OK some bad news I'm afraid

Had some news from the fabricator this morning that unless we get the rear seat belt anchorages safety tested then they are not prepared to manufacture them as if theres an issue then it will come back to them. Sorry about this I thought we has finally cracked it but it appears in these days of everyone wanting to screw everyone else no one is prepared to take the risk.

If anyone knows of a test rig where we could get these tested then we can get a set made for testing but I presume the cost of doing so will prevent this happening if not then its a no go I'm afraid, sorry to disappoint.

Guys

Sorry for not responding for some reason I'm not getting all of my notifications on all the threads, dont know whats happening.

I have the first cradle and it appears some of the dimensions on the original (that we copied) were not correct so it needs a few mods but bear with and it will be sorted very soon, as per my other thread we are going through a bit of a change at the moment and don't appear to be enough hours in the day :(
