I've been looking at this site for ages now and thought it was about time i was on here properly! The site rules, there's some proper tidy busses on here i've just bought my first camper and it's a great place for info as i'm pretty useless!!
Just bought a LHD 69 Yellow Kombi, it was imported from france and has had a resto apparently about 4 years ago. Will try and get some pics up soon. Plans are just to tidy it up,slam it a bit and get some use out of it really for a year or so, it has a few rust bubbles here and there and the paint job is a bit below standard but it'll do till finances allow a proper baremetal respray. Interior needs putting back in so thats gonna keep me busy over winter.

The one you've bought looks good although it looks like you need sunglasses inside and outside, interesting colour choices which I presume are down to the previous owner :?: :?:

Has your van got a amber lamp on the roof? Looks like it has in a couple of the pics?

The colour suits it well.
You owned any other Aircoolds or is this your 1st?
Is it gonna be ready for VW shows next year. Is nice and would definatly stop and take a looksy if i ever see it.

Cheers Graham, i did indeed contact you about one of your busses, it was just a bit too much work for my skills and decided to go for something allready on the road, that said you were very helpfull.
As for the bus she's a bit bright i know, not really my fisrt choice colour and if anybody on here knows what colour it is would be very gratefull. Will be removing the crappy orange roof light in the next few weeks so it's an oportunity to paint the roof a different colour (white??) which will hopefully tone it down, cant for the life of me think what that was put on for!!

Cheers again to all the others for the warm welcome, will hopefully try and get to a few shows nxt year as she's pretty much ready to roll once the interior is sorted so can put some faces to names.
The bus didn't really come with any history, i did ave a quick look on the m-code thing and it was originally Lotus White. You'll have to bear with me as its my first aircooled motor so not really clued up on all the technical stuff, so be prepared for some dumb questions!
