Ok ,
i thought id change the oil in me bus over the weekend ,
so i took the cover plate off , expecting to find the strainer , and there is not one in there !!! ,
the PO must have stripped the thread on one of the holes ,
and has put a bolt inside the case , with a two way tab washer bent over the bolt and then over the edge of the case ,
and has then just put the cover plate back on , no strainer ,
i did look at the condition of the oil on the dipstick when i bought it 3 months ago and it was nice and golden,
anyway i cant put a strainer in as there is no thread on one off the holes , so if i done what the PO has done and go with no strainer is there any downside to this ?
cheers all
