... until I broke the case on the rear hanger mounting bosses after 8 months of very hard driving
tried to repair it but no success
So I will replace my gearbox by a 73/79 bay garbox witch has the two holes on the clutch house, and I will weld the late bay gearbox support on my bus in order to have it firmly maintained to avoid future case cracks...
So my bus is in my parents house @ 700 km away from I live... I'll work on it in July after the EBI#2 & August as I now a teacher, I have long vacations 8) 8) like pupils
Because my new gearbox will befirmly maintained, I decided to start another new engine
So I tore down the 1775, welded the broken case which is now running great un a friend beetle...
All was in excellent shape even with my driving style
So I started to collect all parts to build a 2074 engine (78*92 thick walled P&C), I only kept my Steve Tims Stage 1 heads, Big beef manifolds, the damper pulley, and my 40 DRLA carbs, from the 1775 all the other parts are new...
