This thread will help -

Er, Actually it was very helpful, but if you are too lazy to look then I did it for you.

I typed "wheel offset into" google, hit return & clicked the first link that came up.

Here is that link: http://www.driverstechnologyassociation.co.uk/wheel-offset.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I wasn't taking the piss, all this info is readily available, more accurate than a chat forum & 10 times faster to obtain.

Sorry if you thought I was being sarcastic, but you are not looking for Lord Lucan. If you were, google found him too: http://www.lordlucan.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :lol:

My god theres a lord lucan chatroom too :D

I reckon it was the dodgy looking fella with the pot behind Inspector Burnside that did it!!

call me thick, just read thread you told me but sounded like you all havin an argument,simply want to know which wheel offset best,take it higher et more arch clearance?its all headforkin to me

This will help from the ssp site. http://www.vwheritage.com/ssp/Wheels%5CWheel-Information%5C?templateID=ssp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The higher the offset, the more tucked in the wheel will be.

MWS gas burners are ET6 & stick out loads. The SSP EMPI 5's are ET20 so will sit much better.

What year van & stud pattern are they going on? The flat rear arches can be a deciding factor.

Post a photo of your bus to see what would suit it.

Obvious choices are BRM's, EMPI 5's or Sprint stars.

You could run adaptors & go for Porsche wheels, but not as cheap.

Painted EMPI 5's are the cheapest route if you still have the wide 5 drum brakes.
