Here is my double slide door panel van - I'm in leeds if anyone ever fancies a beer and a chat VW.

It's not a 72 Grazy. Look at the hinges on the engine hatch (77-79) and the lock on the sliding door (74-79), and the squared off grill on the front, so the S reg is probably right.( It's a late :msn4: ) Not that it matters.

Hi guys,

To be honest, I'm not sure.... Has an old front end but was imported from Germany in '76??? According to the papers she was imported to a dealer in Nottingham. Wondered if the double slide doors kept the front end for a little longer? Truth is I'm not sure?

But thanks for letting me sneak in!

If you have any more info that would be cool. Anyone know how many double slide doors were made in RHD?

Does it have an M Code plate behind either the drivers or passenger seat (small metal plate with numbers stamped in it), if it has this will give you its build date and what it left the factory as etc etc,

i'll start a thread on it over the weekend, no major resto here just a tart up of the interior and a couple of other mods.
