Just flicking through the latest heritage catalog 2110 parts shopping and there is a Petronix 009 distributor. Has anyone fitted 1 and are they any good?

Hi Mate , I got one on my 1776 . I would recomend it as its trouble free . I had to go to my mates in Hereford last week because his points had closed up . You dont have that problem with electronic
 
Aye i have one. Hasn't given me any issues since i fitted it, however i do carry my old points and condensor just in case
 
Why not fit a Pertronix unit to a standard SVDA dissy? They are much better suited the engine than an 009.

Because the twin Weber 40's I have to go on the motor don't have a vac take off.
