How do, if you already know the popular image hosting site photobucket now wants you to pay to host images for forums.

$400!?

I personally use imgur instead and it works better and the site isn't virus ridden like PB. Its a bit more public that PB so you might want to mask reg plates/vin no etc if you use IMGUR

Just an idea.

PB has been dying a slow death for a few yr now and it looks like there trying to get whatever cash left they can out of it.

you can use postimage free on here, the link is below every message box. You can store images just like PB but upload them direct from this forum into your account which out having to switch sites.

I just noticed all the PB linked images are blocked. They will piss off alot of people doing that. They cant advertise a free service and change thier minds down the line its unfair and i hope there is a backlash

It's a pain in the arse to use now anyway. Bloody ads popping up all the time, slow to upload. Just a shame it's messed up all my forum threads. Luckily the new EarlyBay set up saves the day. Cheers

I'm in the middle of writing a chrome extension to move all your images in a thread to imgur and then update the links. Will post up again when I have a working version, probably will be towards the end of the week

OK well I have a working version of my chrome extension. Just ironing out a few minor issues, occasionally tabs don't fully load and require a manual refresh. I have run it on several of my own threads without issues. Will be looking for beta testers tomorrow.......

For what it's worth; we shouldn't really use Imgur

Stuff not to do
