No, I haven't Poptop to run in a race against dummies as that would be silly :D

Yesterday, took the hinges which connect the poptop to the van drilled
(tried myself, but being stainless really struggled!) at work and they did
a grand job (industrial press drill is an essential peice of kit I thnk!)

Here is a few snaps of the poptop on, testing that all lines up etc. See what
ya think:

And here's a view from the inside (not exciting, but hey  ):

The gap on the drivers side is a bit higher than I would of liked, but I
would think over the next few years, the metal will start to give and then
it should sit at a good height.

Off to Leeds shopping now so hope to do some more next week end!

Cheers

That looks lovely mate, i've got all this to look forward to with my dormy pop top too. I was going to ask you how practical do you find the dormobile sleeping layout, my missus has her doubts about the robustness of the bed, is it rickety?? lol!!. My other bus has a devon caravette interior which she prefers, do you think i can convince her that this dormobile layout is just as good. Your experiences/advice would be greatly appreciated. 8)

Hi Currylager and thanks for your words of encouragement.

Regarding the bed and getting a good nights sleep - no problems with it!
Just make sure that the foam on the seat back and base are in good nick
as that will alter how comfy the bed is.

Good look with appeasing the wife and look forward to seeing your
renovation on here!
