Rear Brake pipe is this normal?

Hi all
I went to change my rear offside brake pipe today as I had an advisory on my mot.
I got the part female to female from vee wee no problem right part but my pipe seams to be a near side connection ie female to male :roll: swapped over :x and it looks like it came from the factory like this.
My bus is a UK 1972 model RHD I've done some checking and all the suppliers say that the offside is female to female so is this normal?

driver side is male and female pass is female female

Thanks that's what I have but veewee have it listed the other way round so do just kampers. I've not checked vw heritage yet.
Even the part pictures are of the wrong way round for my bus.

I will be ordering one tomorrow but I wondered if it should be the other way round normally.
