hi all
just tripping and putting back together the rear end and have found that the passenger side castings threads are stripped out of the casting am i best locating a decent casting ( pricey if i can find one ) or will getting a HT nut and bolt with the same thread but slightly longer so i can tighten it the nut and not on the casting
cheers for your thoughts
dave

nope the ones that hold the carrier to the radius arm

the two shorter 22mm bolts were just thread locked in the one with no threads

also does anyone know the thread of said bolts?

a picture of one (not mine) threaded bit knackered

Can't see the pics at work on the net so will look later but if the threads are gone then I guess you could get the casting ends spot faced for a nut and bolt assuming it won't foul anything.

That said I would just replace them -pretty sure I know a guy who has a pair to sell (not me) so will ask for you if you want

just had a phone around the breakers got one from volksheaven for 50quid  bonus

others i tried wanted 150quid or didnt want to split a pair which is fair enough

cheers for the help will see if i can rescue the old one at all :)
