i changed my clutch for a new late clutch recently but found that it doesn't interchange.

So i put the old style back on. The problem i have is that i cannot for the life of me figure out how to attach the thrust bearing back on the arm.

It is a 69 bay with the padded sort of bearing fitted by two short and almost straight springs.

Has anyone a pic or diagram of how the bearing is fitted, or tell me in the simplest possible way how the springs fit back on?

Thanks

Straight end of the clip goes in the hole in the side of the thrust bearing, seat the thrust bearing in the curved recess in the release arm, then rotate up over the release arm with a pair of pliers.
Get heavy duty clips the ones with the coiled spring at the end. Don't reuse old clip they come off and you have to drop the engine again.

I am assuming you mean clutch release bearing and not gearbox thrust bearing?

I did mean the clutch bearing. After i went back out yesterday and took a fresh look at it i figured it out. Bloody obvious things!
