the van hasnt been moved for a while started periodically without issue got in it other day flat battery , charged it up and a day later flat again , have recently changed the flasher relay , flashers aint workin took relay out and full of water tells me why theres no flash but will that kill the battery help please .

If you relay was shorting and therefore taking some current then yes it would flatten the battery. Fix the relay, charge the battery up and see what happens next. If it's still going flat it could be a dead battery or a fault/drain on some other device.

You'll need to fix that windscreen leak asap or the whole front of your van will gently rot away :?

Check the water level in the battery as if this is low then it wont hold its charge.
If it needs topping up then use de-ionised water (less than a quid for a litre from Halfords)
As for the relay i used to get the same issues but it never flattened my battery. for a short term measure until you can sort the windscreen seal out, make up a set of flying leads and re-position the relay so the water cant drip onto it.

it was the relay removed it totally and charged battery no problems now just need another relay , covered fusebox with a plastic bag for time being :D
