Hi all

I have recently fitted a type1 gearbox in the van. The kinda easy job has now shoved some issues. It seems like there is a problem with disengaging the release bearing when i hit the clutch. I have changed the spring to a stronger one (the one from my bus gearbox) but this doesn't help either.

I don't think the clutch arm/shaft moves hard enough as it should even without the clutch cable on.

The gearbox is completely redone!

Hope someone has experienced something like this. :?

It looks like the spring on the gearbox isnt engaged
Mine is really stiff to move and requires quite a push on the lever - yours looks disengaged
Check the alignment - might be 180 degree out and not actually acting on the release bearing
