Replacing a Red 9 Design EZ Rider front beam - choices

I've had one of the original Red 9 Design EZ Rider front beams on my '71 for the past 12 years or so. It was the 2"-4" drop version. It gives a nice ride quality with an uprated anti-roll bar too, but at the last MOT, I had discussions with the tester about some travel in the trailing arms he'd noticed. Almost looks like the inner part of the trailing arm inside the torsion tube has some movement. Is there an inner bush in the tube as well as the outer bearing? Is that replaceable?

If not, I'm tempted to go back to torsion leaves (stock width beam). Any differences between the beams that are now available? Limebug looks comprehensive but also looks like there are many other choices out there too. Not looking to go super-low (need to get across un-even campsites reliably!) and keeping stock width.

In your earlier post you say you have contacted Red9. Did they respond?

Do you mean play in the trailing arms ? I suppose to fail the MOT it would have to be quite bad

Yeah, they sent me a couple of new 'through bars' (the things they use to replace the torsion leaves) but they didn't make any difference.

Not sure if you can see the videos in the Dropbox, but they show the play.

I have seen the videos I suppose it shouldn't do that. May be someone who has a similar set up may help with advice?

If you go the new beam route speak to Transporterhaus, he’s not always the fastest to reply but nothing comes close to his stuff.

Cool Air are now stocking Transporterhaus products. Most available off the shelf.
Massive relief as like you say, Alex is a little slow to reply.

If you are just looking to go back to a stock beam and width then the one JK sell is of good quality and that linked with late bay dropped spindles will give you a similar ride height to a red 9 kit, you’ll have to run late bay discs and calipers ( which you may have already from the red 9 set up)
We’ve got sets of used leaves here if you need them.
