I've replaced my front arches with new ones and so I've lost the captive nuts that the wraparound bumper/step mounts to. I was going to use rivnuts instead, preferably M8 as I think this is the biggest the tool will handle, will this be alright?
I guess if someone actually steps on the step that's quite a bit of weight on these?

The originals for the cab step where only M8's anyway so you should be ok, did you use repro panels as the schofields ones come with the captive nut installed?

I used the Brazil VW ones but my bus is a crossdresser, so they are late arches with the step modified hence no captive nut.
