Roof gutter height - leveling suspension - level?

Kinda silly question but can't find the info on a web search...
Just put on lowered frontend and leveling the rear suspension by slight adjustment on the splines.

Is the roof gutter supposed to be level I.e. Same distance from floor to gutter at point above front or rear wheels?
Or is there supposed to be slight run off to let the water run off?

Does anyone know or could measure their vans?

In all honesty, adjusting the rear end by rotating on the splines would take a near-miracle to get the gutters level. Each spline drops the back end by a reasonable amount, so realistically, you probably want to ask whether you want a slightly nose down, or a nose upward look, and aim for that. A 1 or 2 spline drop is about the norm for a mild rear end lowering and to avoid CV boots and driveshafts from fouling the chassis rails.

Great, at moment I'm 60mm higher at back so will drop one inner spline.

In theory, you could use trial and error moving both inner and outer splines, but you could spend so much time doing it that you'll just get fed up and settle with some happy medium!

Most people would opt for an outer spline drop, it's easier to keep a track of the torsion arm location relative to the spring plate. The inner and outer splines are a different number, so if you pull the torsion rods out, you need to be sure that they both go back in as a mirror image, otherwise you will end up with a wonky rear end. It's worthwhile marking them before removal, or just leave them in place and go for an outer spline rotation of the spring plate.

As you want it really. Stock is usually nose up as standard then according to how much weight you have in there as in interior fittings and plus passengers then you are getting somewhere close to level fully loaded. As soon as you start fanning about with ride heights :roll: etc as most of us do , then mostly we’ll end up level or a bit nosey down with no one in giving a raked look : :mrgreen: Then you might want to go lower after a bit :shock: damned contagious this lowering malarkey. :shock: :shock: :shock:

Thanks, all sorted now... Level when unloaded so will give a try when loaded up.
Drives like a new van now it doesn't hit the bump stops.
