hi im soon going to be running a 5x130 pcd (porsche stud pattern)
on my 71 bay with a 5x112 pcd

the question i have is. i think iv seen people get the front hubs redrilled any idea who dose this (i dont want adaptors on the front)

thanks :D

try Dave at Futbus dude, he should do it or know someone who does.

front hubs redrilled is a bit suspect as to fit the porsche pcd you are drilling half the brake and half the hub. adapters arent so bad if your running high ets like 6" teledials (ET53) but no good for cookies (ET36) so even with 20mm adapters its still only an offset of 16, standard being around 39.

Rears can get redrilled and futbus/transporthaus will do it for around £80 to £100

Best option on the fronts is porsche 944 hubs, with a disk kit from one of the above places but using Drum spindles. im still trying to figure out using disk spindles on my 71 with porsche hubs as i went for drop spindles and cant afford a second set of drum ones

Look at vdubengineering.com they do late bay adaptors for Porsche and wilwood calipers including spacers for the Porsche hub.
You will need to space out the adaptor a bit cos of the difference between 71 and late spindle but it is possible.
I've got crossover spindles (transporterhaus) with early Porsche 944 hubs and ventilated disks, wilwood calipers and a vdubengineering kit on mine, used a modified JK crossover to late caliper adaptor kit to make it all fit together.

Hi Loxy and thanks for the above, think you posted a few times my original thread asking how to do it all with lots of help but then got tied up in family stuff (understood)

Ive got the same spindles as you as the 71 disk spindles are the same as 72's (with the little point bit stcicking out). I was trying to look at a cheapskate (shouldnt say that) way of using the Porsche calipers too but only way i could figure was to put a bolt in the original caliper hole. peen/weld it over and redrill for the ATS caliper as its to stop it spinning so direction of force is downward. Ok on the bench on some spare stock spindles but didnt want to attempt it on my drop spindles in theory.

Looked at the vDub Engineering kits and look real nice and got me thinking again.

Im gunna have to dig my bits out again and have a proper look over the winter. The bracket is purely to move the caliper to where it needs to be and i guess the spacing is required to make the hub/disk sit in the right place in comparison to the caliper.

Need to get something done as i have a pile of Porsche wheels/tyres that the misses doesnt really see as a 'feature' in the garden
