I'm trying to decide whether to refurb my stock seats, pick up some old Porsche seats (or alternatives) to be re-covered, or try and buy something usable that doesn't need re-covereing.

What sort of prices are we looking at for re-covering something like a Porsche seat in vinyl? I've got no idea, and due to the nature of the work websites can't provide costs. I was thinking £500 area for two seats? What have you paid?

Hello

I had a set of rear cushions done ( plus other a few little other bits ) for the RnR bed in my bay, a few years ago now. I think I paid around the £380 mark, but they are VERY good.

This chap did them:

I think he does a pair of the front seats for £300.

But he is good, check him out 8)

£110 plus vat each

We were quoted about £800 for a new R&R with cushions and recovered and repadded front seats.

Check out my build thread, they covered mine.

Bromsgrove Auto Trimmers have done my headlining and a soft top for my FIAT. I would recommend them for price and service. great people to deal with

Thanks all, Bromsgrove getting some big thumbs-up. Any one have pics of their work and a rough idea of prices for two front seats? (I appreciate that it will vary depending on material, seat etc.)

Cheers :)

Thanks, but I was just after some pics of other people's seats not sarky lmgtfy links :(

...and what they have on the site are loads of pics of camper seats that they have refurbed. Cost also depends whether you need a full refurb with pads and horse hair and springs or just recovering.

Wow, fantastic interior, the detail on the upholstery looks absolutely top-notch. Is that a vinyl covering on the seats?

Cheers :)

Yes it is Vinyl, I asked for leather, but Pete at Bromsgrove convinced me otherwise, from a cost/durability/serviceability standpoint.

Very happy with the results, they did my headlining also.
