I know this has come up lots of times before......I've read all the past posts on here and on The Late Bay as I need to decided what to put in my van when its finished with Ron at VW Endangered Species.

Tracker
This seems a really good option....the website reads well and seems to answers the concerns about the van being in a container too.

Its £250 plus £7 a month subscription - seems a fair price for piece of mind.
VZI managed to get this massively discounted to £85 last year - is anyone interested in seeing if we can get a deal?

Alarm
Can anyone recommend something suitable? All I want is an annoying siren if the van is tampered with or attempted break-in. Im not bothered about central locking etc etc. More of a deterant really.

Having a tracker is all well and good plus isolating the starter/battery, a locking engine bay and maybe a wheelclamp (overkill?), but it still doesnt deter the opportunist hoodie or druggy helping themselves to the contents of the glove box or the camping gear if parked up between sites etc.

One thought is this thatcham aproved and recognised by the insurers i.e. get a discount from them for having one fitted?

Seen this on JK site, worth an email
