all you brilliant people: how do you guys organize (trays, cup holders, buckets, pouches etc.) the clutter on your dashes? can I see some pics of you brilliant people's brilliant ideas? lets see some pics.

Oh and ofcourse, I also would like to see how do you utilize/organize the dash tops. ;) cheers

PS: i dont even know if this the correct section to post it here, so MODs please move to appropriate section if its not 8)

All my dash clutter goes either into my buddy box or lives on the under-dash bamboo shelves

Simples!

thanks matey, but what if one doesn't have a buddy box/bamboo shelf? how would they organise the dash then? there has to be ideas out there need to be found and thats what i am looking at because i dont have the buddy box/bamboo shelf and was looking other solutions than both of these. perhaps something even more robust? just saying.

Personally, I don't have anything extra.

I keep a few little things in the glove compartment (couple of CD's, pair of gloves, torch). My head unit is in there so limited space any way.
I only ever buy drinks in bottles (I don't drink tea or coffee) so can just shove the bottle on the dash against the window.
A friend of mine has put a non-slip mat on his dash (seems to be sold at most garage forecourts) so he can chuck his phone on there.
I keep a fire extinguisher under each seat and anything else goes in the back.

Lack of storage up front forces me to be a bit tidier and that's no bad thing!

JK have a selection of options if you want some inspiration: http://www.justkampers.com/vw-t2-bay-window-parts/interiors/dash-tidies-storage-solutions.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

thanks, i have already been hunting so know all about these solutions that you just shared with the JK. but isn't all that just too ordinary?

was thinking something more fashionable perhaps. i know there are "Austi Organizers" out there but thought there might be ideas better than Austi's. just a thought.

Here is an Austi

thats exactly my point. how would you organise your dash if you dont have the choice / or ddidnt want to choose a buddy box. would the bamboo shelf be the last choice or there is more out there?

Justcruzin done a great job of making her own one that incorporated a drinks holder.

i think i am going to build one of these, one each for my splitty and bay, though in different material but i am not really sure what material its going to be. may twist and turn the design a little too 8)

Driver side has an option for a cup holder but I left it as a cubby for now. I like the cup holder I have in between the seats better but figured I would at least make a spot for one, that and it makes it match the passenger side a bit better. :D

i like this wooden shelf better than bamboo design but I think it cramps the leg room a little especially when you've a foot rest fitted to passenger side.
Buddy box closes down the walkthrough walk way. I love walkthrough walkways!!! so buddy box is out too.

that leaves little choice but to go with something like the custom dash organiser i just posted, especially when my dash isn't padded, it looks practical. however, thought someone here would have a better idea and thats what I am after 8)
