This question is probably stupid (again).
It's about the rubber trim above the sliding door that reduces the size of the bump on your head when you forget to stoop getting in and out of the bus.
The old trim was filthy and ruined when I got the bus (1970 devon) so I pulled it off without paying too much attention to how it went on.
Now I've finally got a new replacement and I cannot make it fit.
It's clear which way up it goes, and how the steel lip on the body goes into the trim as the inside of the trim goes into the gap between the door upper track and the headlining, while the outside of the trim covers the track lip.
But which end do you start? Do you fit one part and slide it along? Do you force it on from underneath and roll it over the steel lip?
I struggled for ages and I was swearing so much I may have invented some new words.
Has anyone got any tips I could try please?
