The seal on my sliding door is shot so needs replacing, can someone tell me how to remove the door and is it a difficult task, my bus is a RHD 1971 Danbury many thanks

It's pretty straightforward if all the bolts play easy. You need to remove the sliding rail track cover, then open the door about half way. There is a cutout in the track that then allows you to lift the sliding mechanism off the track and away from the side of the bus. From here, you need to tilt the bottom of the door outwards which will allow you to drop it down out of the top runner.

Not sure if that makes sense, but the only thing that actually requires removal is the track cover, after that it just requires a bit of man strength + a helper or two.

Alternatively you can cut the seal at the bottom which saves removing the door. Modern adhesives will enable you to accurately glue the cut back together.

This may help too

This is what I did. Contact cement applied properly and the seal hasn't budged a bit and my door stills roles like new.

For a sliding door seal alone, I undo the lower roller bracket and pop the sliding door on an axle stand while I fit the seal. Saves removing the door completely and messing with the track cover and doesnt mean cutting the seal.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I knew you lot would come up trumps, I fitted the new seal today, I cut it at the bottom corner and glued it
. Thanks everyone :D
