I'm considering buying a beam with built in beam adjusters from Transporterhaus my question is if I lower my van by approximately 2 inches on the front does it push the track out and if so by roughly how much? Transporterhaus are offering varying degrees of narrowed beam with the adjusters and I'm not looking for the tucked style just want my front wheels to be roughly in line with my rear wheels.

thanks in advance

Hi,
fitting an adjustable beam won't widen the track at all.
Fitting some types of dropped spindles or wheel spacers or wheel adaptor would, as would changing the wheels for ones with a different offset.

An adjustable beam allows you to rotate the usually fixed beam centres. The beam centres hold the torsion leaves.
Rotating the centres rotates the torsion leaves thereby raising the angle of the trailing arms, bringing the wheel hub closer to the wheel arch.

Hope that helps

Cheers

like this

front beam dropped 2 1/2" no increase in track

At that level of drop do you have any issues? Tyres rubbing or anything else, and how does it drive?

no issues at all still running stock tyres but gas shocks handles loads better no rubbing at all even over speed bumps
