bit late to the party (as always ;)
I've done a fair bit of research on this and found this website to be pretty usefu & informative and basically backs up what blake7even says:
url]http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi[/url]
can substitute with plenty of similar materials
mentioned it here:

I've so far put small squares of the roofing tape stuff for sound deadening and then on top of that I've used insulation from reimo however that is the same stuff as camping sleeping mats you can get from lidl/ aldi/ halfords etc.
Hope that helps

Better late than never ;)

I havent sorted anything yet anyway so thanks for the link. Ill check it out and try and get something sorted.

like some of the guys were saying you dont need to spend a fortune, nor do you need to completely cover panekls with the stuff. strips on the flash band will do the job well. obviously the more stuff you stick in your van the more your van will weigh.

my plan when the van hits the road, is strips of flash band on each panel then silver coated bubble wrap on top to keep the heat in. trying to stear clear of anything that will soak up moisture.
